  • Of the total motorcycle deaths, 90.2 percent were drivers and 9.8 percent were passengers; 48 percent of those killed were wearing helmets; 48 percent did not wear helmets.
  • Total motorcycle crashes decreased 10.9 percent from 2008. Fatal crashes decreased 15.6 percent.
